Reptilia
The Sierra fence lizard on its ventral abdomen of an adult is characteristically blue, so it is also known as the blue-belly. Its also the most seen Lizard by the public in the park. They can be heard scattering on dry leaves during the day.
Amphibia

Aves
Great Gray Owl research provides evidence that the Sierra Nevada is home to a genetically distinct population, compared to great gray owls outside of California. They are an endangered species and most of its population live in Yosemite .
Mammalia
Carnivores
Pacific Fisher is carnivore that lives on the grounds of Yosemite. They say it is the key predator in Yosemite because its one of the few carnivores. The Pacific Fisher is also an endangered species and scientist have put cameras in Yosemite to see how they live, what they do, to determine the population and to see what disrupts their habitat.
Herbivores
The Mule deer it is named for its ears, which are large like those of the mule. It is the only deer species found in the park. They are mostly seen in the meadows to feed on the grass.
Omnivores
American black bears found in Yosemite National Park have long been of intense interest to park visitors. People also try to look for Grizzlie bears in Yosemite but sadly, there aren't none in the whole state of California. People see at least one of 300 to 500 in Yosemite.
Rodents
Golden-mantled ground squirrels are a common rodent seen on the grounds of Yosemite. This rodent is often confused for a chipmunk. Golden-mantled ground squirrel is usually found at higher elevations, like Olmsted Point on the Tioga Road.
